God is For You
What, then, shall we say in response to these
things? If God is for us, who can
be against us? 32 He who
did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with
him, graciously give us all things? Romans
8:31-32
You can physically or
mentally make two columns. In the first column
write down every trial, negative event, problem people, discouraging moments
and frustrating details. On the other column write the words God is For
Me. You should already be encouraged
just knowing that God is bigger than all of life’s difficulties.
It’s not the absence of
difficulties that will make life better, it’s the presence of our Savior. He is the wind in your wings when no wind is
blowing. He is the calm that comes in
the height of your storm. He is the firm
foundation when your life is crumbling and shaking. He is the voice to follow when the world is
shouting for you attention. He is the
peace that runs deeper than the depth of your despair. He is the joy that overflows from the pit of
your mourning. He holds your life together
when your world is falling apart. He shines
on the just and the unjust validating his impartiality. When people fail you, he brings constant
comfort. He has a plan for your life
that is good, right and hopeful. Others
may come and go, but He will never ever leave you nor forsake you.
God is faithful to his
children. His faithfulness allowed for
his own Son to die in our place. He will
accomplish all that He desires to bring forth in and through our lives. You are worthy. You are the apple of His eye. Don’t listen to the accusations of the
enemy. God is for you, he is not against
you. As King David said, “he can run
through a troop and jump over a wall.”
He knew that God was for him.
Father, you are a faithful God.
We can always count on your character to be full of integrity and
trustworthy. Thank you God for loving
us. Thank you for caring about our
lives. Thank you the in all of creation,
you say that our lives matter to you. Help
us to preach boldly and walk humbly. In Jesus Name, Amen.
