No More Creation Frustration

No more Creation Frustration

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[h] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.  Romans 8:19-21

I had a professor in college that reminded us that we are “mud pies”.  He was referring of course to the fact that we are made out of dust and water.  The adult human male is made up of approximately 57% water.  God is a lot better at constructing his “mud pies”, my wife is beautiful J

But the reality is that the physical world was cursed because of Adam’s sinful action. Weed, bugs, death, disasters are all examples of a fallen creation.  Paul tells us that disaster and disease is not the end of the story.  There is hope for creation.  This hope is integrally tied to transformation that is going to occur for the children of God.

When God comes to judge and set things in order.  He is going to set ALL things in order.  All of creation is still looking toward the hand of its creator.  The earth groans for the LORD to set the earth back in perfect order.  But this cannot happen until mankind is brought to order.  When we are fully transformed….these bodies of ours (mud pies), we will have the total curse of sin removed.  Paul says that we will at that point have all sickness, disease, and brokenness removed.  No more aches, arthritis, diabetes, cancer or deformity.

At the same moment, the created earth is transformed.  God will place a NEW order for the world to follow.  All of this is tied to the “Glory” of the Lord.  All of creation, both the earth and mankind, will reflect His glory.  The whole earth will be filled with His glory.

Father, I ask with creation, come quickly.  I don’t want anyone to perish without you.  But I also want the removal of everything that is keeping us separated from you.  Not only in my life, although it is okay for you to start there. But I want the world to reflect your glory.  I love watching the sun rise and the light fog over the fields that I see almost every morning.  I love that my wife and I still want to capture the radiance of a sunset with it vast array of colors.  You are such a wonderful Creator.  Come quickly Lord and set all things in order.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
