Two Men and a Truck Aren’t Going to Move God’s Peace
To me this is like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.
So now I have sworn not to be angry with you,
    never to rebuke you again.
10 Though the mountains be shaken
    and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.  Isaiah 54:9-10

Isaiah is recording this passage as God speaking over Israel about their return from exile. God is promising a new relationship with Israel.  He is expressing comforting words in contrast.  Mountains can be shaken, but unfailing love will not be shaken.  Hills can be removed, but covenant of peace cannot be removed.
Why is it that we are more concerned and verbal about the temporal things that can be shaken or changed?  Have you noticed that we spend time helping God understand how dire our situation is?  How much time in prayer do we focus on God’s provision?  He is a rock in our changing world.

So speak to your circumstances that appear as a fragile glass on the edge of the table.  Tell your situation that God is on the throne and He is Lord over all.  Even if the glass falls and breaks, He makes a way for you to overcome. Speak to your problem and tell it that your God is watching you with compassion.  Speak now of God’s unfailing love that is so strong your obstinate rebellion cannot dissuade Him from expressing His care over you.  Yes, tell your mountain that God is on the scene.
