27 She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up
behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. 28 For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I
will be made well.” 29 And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and
she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
The Faith Paradigm
Starts
with a thought, Dreams the possible, Acts on the improbable, Lives in the
reality.
Starts
with a thought.
Faith comes by hearing. She had heard the reports and she thought to
herself. If I touch him, I could be
healed. Our thoughts originate in
response to the good news that we hear.
God loves you and will save you.
A person then thinks, “Could God
possibly save me? Am I beyond
saving? How could God love me?” These are not random thoughts. They flow forth from a trustworthy God.
Dreams
the possible.
She thought if I touch him, I could be
healed. David thought if I throw the
rock, I could take Goliath down. Caleb
thought if God was for them, no mountain or giant could stand in his way. Faith is the evidence of things unseen. That which seems to crazy, just might work.
Acts on
the improbable
The dream has to move into action. She moved through the crowd and touched
him. Her disease made her unclean. She should not have even been among the
crowd. She especially was not supposed
to touch the teacher because of her issue of blood. Yet, she touched Jesus who was and is
holy. What would had happen if she had
just gotten close, but turned aside.
Acting on our thoughts moves us through the faith cycle.
Lives in
the Reality
We can’t fully explain it, but she was instantly
healed and knew it, She was HEALED. That thought became a reality for her. For the person who is trusting God for
finances and God says give to another. Your
action opens the path for your reality of provision in your life. Faith is not just some theory. It moves into our reality when we follow the
faith cycle.
How many times have we had a thought and just let
it slip by? How many times do we squash our
dreams because they seem to far fetched to be a reality? How many times have we been afraid to act on
our thoughts because we were uncertain of the outcome? What is the wonderful testimony of God’s
provision in areas where you have acted in faith? Once I was blind, but NOW I see.
The Faith
Paradigm. Starts
with a thought, dreams the possible, acts on the improbable, lives in the
reality.
Father,
help us to see the simplicity of living by faith. Help us to obey the promptings of the Holy
Spirit that come to us through the impressions in our mind. Actually help us to discern what originates
in our spirit that our soul will obey.
Thank you for loving us in spite of our “little” faith. Help us to be bold and act on what we
hear. In Jesus Name, Amen.
