Who is in your boat?

37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.
38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4
Fear looks at the Storm
Faith looks at Jesus in the boat

Fear looks at how fierce the storm is
Faith finds Jesus at peace in the storm

Fear grows stronger among the group
Faith brings calm by one man, Jesus

Fear is afraid of death
Faith is Jesus the way, truth and life

Fear is unrelenting splash of danger
Faith is to be still and know that He is lord, Jesus

Fear overtakes our emotions
Faith is calmness from the prince of peace, Jesus

Fear feeds on our lack of control of our circumstances
Faith rests in the one who has all authority in heaven and earth, Jesus

Fear is instant and reactionary with no need for warning
Faith is grows stronger with the exercise of trust in Jesus

Fear cripples us
Faith empowers us in Jesus

Fear is no respecter of persons
Faith hears the voice of the true shepherd, Jesus

Fear forgets about God’s care and protection
Faith is remembering who is in your boat, Jesus
