Where are your eternal investments?

20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Matthew 6:20-21

You are not broke! Where are you deposits being made?  I like investing and returns on investments.  At your birth you were specially made.  I formed you in your mother’s womb.  I was aware of all of the circumstances surrounding your birth.  I saw your struggle for life, your first breath.  Even before your birth, I weighed the value of your life as precious in my sight.  Knowing you inside and out, I knew what I was getting when I redeemed you.

Yes, you may have felt broken and unwanted, but I redeemed you with the purchase of my own Son’s blood that was shed on the cross.  That purchase was more valuable than any currency known to mankind.  My Son died in your place so that I could give, impart, and deposit eternal life in you.

Then, I placed my Spirit in you.  He is the guarantor of my investment.  Through Him, I am always present.  Never will I leave you nor forsake you.  Through Him, you have the tools, the gifts, and the currency to live as a heavenly citizen in your earthly realm.  My currency works in both worlds and is never lost or wasted.  Listen to my Spirit as He directs you into every good and perfect gift that I provide for you to invest.

Don’t waste my investment by hiding it.  Use all that I have given you to advance my Kingdom agenda.  Look at the way that my Son lived to see how to invest in eternal things.  He invested in a few, looked for the lost coins, repaired those that were broken, cast seed to the masses, and transformed the hopeless through expending unconditional love.

Every day you can store up treasures in Heaven in which you will never lose your reward.  Give your life away.  You will not lose it, but it will be saved.  You have the currency of Heaven within you…spend and deposit it well.

Whispers from your Father, God.
