Strong in the Lord

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.11Put on the full armor of

God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.  Ephesians 6 ESV.

Where you looking for a fight or just upset that one came your way?  When your path is smooth you easily forget that you have an adversary that is relentless in his pursuit to neutralize you.  He wants to make you weak and ineffective in my calling for you.  He wants people to lose sight of Me in your life and instead focus on you.

I need for you to first learn the lesson of being strong.  This strength does not come from your physical abilities, your intellectual dominance, your emotional stableness, your ability to accomplish things, or your strong control over people and your money.  Neither is my strength revealed in weakness that is attributed to your laziness.  Yes my power is shown in your weakness that comes from the distress, persecutions and insults that come from following My Son, but not from inactivity.

The armor and ability to stand firm follows learning how to be strong in me and in my might power.  Your strength in ME is found as you focus on MY strength.  As you remember that I hold you in the palm of my hand, you also remember that nothing can take you from that place of security.  I AM THAT STRONG.  What can any person do or is there any event that comes your way, that I am not stronger still?  My  strength is evident in more than just a momentary difficulty that you are experiencing.  Following my ways takes you beyond the immediate crisis, to look at how I am going to deliver you.  I always have a path that is stronger than you present plight.

Through ME you can run through a troop or jump over a wall.  My power that raised my Son from the grave resides within you through My Spirit.  You can walk through the waters and make it to the other side for I will help you.  Do not prop up your overwhelming circumstance by the words you speak like ”never, it’s over, you can’t, or it’s impossible.”  With my strength nothing is impossible. 

It is not hard for I would have not commanded it to be so.  Be strong in Me and in my power to carry you through.
